USBE appoints Boom Distribution as New Partner for SPALDING in Italy

USBE has appointed Boom Distribution as SPALDING’s new distribution partner in Italy, marking a renewed commitment to one of Europe’s most passionate basketball markets. Effective immediately, the partnership will begin rolling out as soon as possible, strengthening the brand’s presence and availability across the country. 

USBE holds the distribution rights for SPALDING balls, backboards and basketball systems, as well as the license for SPALDING teamwear and apparel. The partnership with Boom Distribution creates a strong local platform to develop the brand, support retail partners and build closer relationships with Italy’s basketball community.

Led by CEO Alessandro Foglia, Boom Distribution brings extensive experience in American sports, with particular expertise in basketball and its surrounding culture. Its established network spans approximately 300 active specialist and lifestyle retail locations across Italy, supported by a dedicated regional sales team and showroom and logistics facilities in Settimo Milanese, near Milan.

The collaboration will draw on Boom Distribution’s existing retail relationships, nationwide sales coverage and operational infrastructure. Alongside developing the retail business, the partners see opportunities to strengthen connections with basketball clubs and youth academies, supporting the game from grassroots participation onward.
